Dry Aroma: Mineral, vitamin C, tart, rosehips.
Wet Aroma: Tart pomegranate, cooked strawberries.
Cup: Deep, reddish-purple liquor darkens the cup to the hue of beet juice. A strong, brief tart flavor, rich with citrus and dark fruit hits the palate and quickly vanishes leaving a granular hint on the tongue, and a tingle to the back of the throat. Surprisingly light bodied and crisp.
Directions: Use 3 grams (1 ½ tsp) per 6oz. of 200 degree water, steeped 4-5 minutes. Traditionally used as a cold beverage in many climates and cultures - try also steeping 1oz in 3/4 gallon cold water and steep 6 hours for a clean, brisk and refreshingly tart iced tea.
